A SPLASH PAD IN ALLISON PARK!!
Neighbours, if you have not been by the park lately, please stop by and take a look at the splashpad that is now complete.
The city will be opening it up next year and we will be having a HUGE ribbon cutting ceremony at the same time.
The newly planted sod is very squishy, so try to stay off of that for awhile!
And speaking of sod, I also asked if the area by our neighbourhood sign could be fixed, and the contractor did this as well, so we now have a lot better of a surface area there also.
In order to operate the splashpad, you simply place your hand on top of the blue pole and the water jets will go off automatically, and then shut off after awhile.
This is a final phase of construction in our park, everyone should be very proud of what we accomplished in only 7 years time.
Thank you for all your donations throughout the years and enjoy!

A pdf of the proposed Splash Pad development is here.

Mayor DiIanni is presented with a $5000 cheque from the Allison Park Community Association for the development of a much-anticipated splashpad.
Circa 1999, during one of our first meetings, we took a look at what we wanted (wished) as a neighbourhood in our park.
The long-term goal that we voted on, and which our sponsor Mr. Ecklund started to organize, was the raising for funds for a splashpad.
After six years of fundraising, we are ecstatic to announce that it looks like we have finally reached our goal that we set in this regard.
