ALLISON PARK EASTER EGG HUNT PHOTO PAGE

This year's Easter Egg hunt was held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 10:00 am- the kids and the young at heart had a great time hunting down the 20,000 chocolate eggs that the Easter Bunny delivered despite the cold and flurries!
Just a 'hare' over 20,000 chocolate Easter Eggs were collected in five minutes by an estimated 300-500 children. It was a bright and sunny day, chilly and windy, but that did not deter people from coming out and enjoying the festivities. Many Hamiltonians attended the event from all over the city: welcome to Allison Park! It was definitely a challenge this year- hopefully the weather will be better for next year and we can get back to the usual activities that Mr. Ecklund prepares and sponsors . Councilor Duval had a previous commitment and sent his regrets, but many thanks to Councilor Whitehead and family for coming out. Many thanks to all who came out.

EASTER 2007
Since this event started, our sponsor Mr. Chris Ecklund has donated over 100,000 chocolate eggs. This year Mr. Ecklund also hired Par-T-Perfect, who provided face painters, Easter Bunny, etc. There were also games and the usual excitement and fun for the kids!
A special thanks to Cadbury, who donated and gave Mr. Ecklund a HUGE discount on Chocolate eggs this year, along with wine gums, bubble gum, and the little furry bunnies.

Mr. Ecklund also donated 2400 Tim Horton's coupons to our troops in Afghanistan, and made a formal presentation to Hamilton MP Chris Charlton. Each soldier in Afghanistan will have a free coffee courtesy of Mr. Ecklund.
We took some great video that day (requires Flash player)
